ADAM SCHNIFTER: BREAKING. Per sources, the ALOFT draft was decided in March. 43 keepers came off the board before anyone sat down. Of 56 picks in the first four rounds, 43 were already spent. Rounds one through four were not a draft. They were a reading.
IAN CRAPOPORT: I reported the keeper count on Tuesday. It was ignored. Fine. What Adam won't tell you is who won the reading. Shake 'N Bake. Gibbs, Nacua, Jefferson, Judkins. The best keeper set in the league at 370 VOR. They finish first at 1844 — and the live draft added only +12 to that starting six.
SKIP BRAINLESS: Keepers are for cowards. You want the real draft? Man Without Fear. Kept nobody. Walked in with an intact first-round pick and took Ashton Jeanty at three. That's the champion. Write it down.
BOOGER McFARTLAND: Half of that is right. Man Without Fear took the market's number one, four, eight and three with picks three, seventeen, thirty-one and forty-five. Jeanty, DeVonta Smith, Etienne, Jeremiyah Love. That's a clean draft.
The problem isn't the picks. It's the rulebook. One quarterback on the roster, Jaxson Dart, no backup, three players Questionable — and Jeanty plays for a Raiders team that scored five team rushing touchdowns last year, the fewest since 2020. There's a study on this — Brandon Gdula's, twenty-seven backs since 2014: running backs drafted in the first three fantasy rounds, on sub-seven-win teams, beat their draft price 30% of the time. Twenty-seven is a direction, not a probability. That's Booger math for this could be second or twelfth.
